Why buy a catamaran?
A sailing catamaran is a multihull boat with two separate hulls – generally the same in size. Because of their two hull design they generally offer much more space than a monohull sailing boat. Catamarans are one of the most popular sailing boats available today and are fast becoming the obvious alternative to monohull sailing, offering many advantages, including space – perfect if you’re planning on a lifestyle change or sailing adventure. They also offer excellent handling and stability plus affordable cruising costs.
Catamaran hulls are typically designed with a shallow draft and flatter bottom than monohull sailing boats due to them originally being designed for shallower waters. However sailing catamarans will also include rigging and sails that can be chosen from a umber of pre-designed systems – either including one or more masts. There are many optional fitted extras available on our catamarans for sale.

The Excess 11 is a compact Catamaran – ideal for both the UK and abroad. It’s one of the smallest cruising catamarans for sale on the market yet capable of offering so much comfort and space. A definite UK lifestyle option.
The Excess 14 is a bigger catamaran with an overall length of just under 16m. With a low boom, sleek lines and a dynamic designed hull you can experience the sea in an innovative way – with thrills and comfort.
NEW July 2024, The Excess 13 has been introduced to the range. A 2nd generation catamaran with a new design team, these catamarans for sale tick all the multihull boxes and are a dynamic addition to the catamaran range.
