Jeanneau 449 in the Sun Odyssey range oozes quality, performance, comfort and is simple to use.

The modern hull of this innovative sailing yacht is designed by Philippe Briande, who is renowned for his fast and sea kindly hulls. She has dynamic lines and hard chines on the hull which not only add volume to the hull aft but also combine with her high-aspect rig to give effortless performance.

The deck layout on the Jeanneau 449 Sun Odyssey  is innovative and uncluttered, all lines are led aft in flush tunnels (to keep the decks clear and uncluttered) to the helm station where a short handed crew can handle everything with ease.

Down below the ambiance is light and airy with plenty of light from the many hatches and bevelled deck windows and shows off the large volume of the accommodation. There are options for 3 or 4 cabins and it is all set off by Jeanneau's contemporary styling using a selection of high-end materials, woods and stainless fittings. LED indirect lighting is a feature... not only low power to run but also gives warm atmospheric lighting.

All in all the Jeanneau 449 Sun Odyssey is the perfect yacht to look at both inside and out, and the perfect yacht for extended cruising in comfort and safety. The number of options available from Jeanneau allow for a large amount of customisation to produce a yacht just for you.

For 2017 Season, all Sun Odyssey models will be available with – in addition to the classic teak – an optional oak interior. Customisation will also be enhanced by a selection of three different floorboards, as well as by the multitude of upholstery choices. Pictures of this new interior are included in the photogallery

For 2018 Season onwards, The Jeanneau sun Odyssey 449 is available in charter format FLEET EDITION

Hi Tim We've got Navicula safely back from Guernsey. An interesting sail, with the cruising chute up for several hours, in F3-4 (dropped at 20kn, Sue insisted) then a close reach up the Solent in a brisk breeze, making a good average 7.5 kn for passage planning purposes. Anyway, we've given her a clean today and she's looking fine on her berth if you want to take anyone down to see her (marina has you down as authorised to take the keys from the harbour office). Best wishes Gavin ps about 400 miles under the keel now, and v pleased with her, thanks.
