MISTER LUCKY - HOW DID THEY DO?

THE ANSWER IS THEY WON!!! Sunfast 3600 MISTER LUCKY was one of the smallest yachts in the 2017 Sydney Hobart 102 boat fleet but they won their class ORCi 4, in a nail biting finish. Congratulations to Mark Hipgrave, the owner of MISTER LUCKY, Mark's son Alex and the rest of the crew: our MD Nigel Colley, Rob Graigie, Deb Fish, Paul Brant, and Ian Hoddle; all Sunfast 3600 and Sunfast 3200 owners back in the UK.

It just goes to show that despite all being avid solo sailors and enthusiastic members of SORC (the UKs Solo Offshore Sailing Club) when the chips are down all that expertise can be channeled to produce a winning team performance.

Follow this link to read a light hearted article from the race organisers in a post race interview before they all got to the bar!

In the photo gallery is a picture of MISTER LUCKY entering the Derwent River near Hobart and a shot of the final results confirming their position top of the ORCi 4 results

Now we just hope Nigel comes back from Australia sometime soon....we are worried he is having too much fun down there!

Notes: If you are interested then here are a couple of other news items from our website about the build up to the race: 1st Dec 2017 Syndey Hobart 2017 and 21st Dec 2017 Sydney Hobart - MISTER LUCKY gets ready
