The Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600 has now joined her smaller sister, the Sun Fast 3200. Our MD, Nigel Colley, who is one the UK’s and Europe’s leading Sun Fast 3200 sailors, has been asking Jeanneau for a Sun Fast 3600 for two years and now his wish has come true!
The Sun Fast 3600 is another masterpiece created by world leading French yacht designer, Daniel Andrieu. As if the Sun Fast 3200 was not successful enough with her proven offshore performance in classics such as the Transquadra, Round Britain & Ireland and North Sea 1000, all the lessons learned have been crafted into and improved on the Sun Fast 3600. This eye catching boat lives admirably up to the reputation and expectations that go before it with Jeanneaus previous Sun Fast models.
Here are some design features of the NEW Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600 to note:
✓ Aggressively chined hull will significantly enhance performance and stability.
✓ A very high 44% ballast ratio, more than most cruising yachts, guarantees further the stability of this yacht and her ability to deliver the power generated by the sail plan.
✓ Semi-square top efficiently shaped mainsail will provide extra boost in lighter airs and a deliverable powertrain when the breeze is up.
✓ Twin tiller steering system with the option for twin wheels for direct precise steering & optimum helmsman comfort & position.
✓ Main sheet traveller in front of helm position – easier for helm when solo and main trimmer when fully crewed – giving the best of both worlds.
✓ Outboard swept back shroud base gives excellent rig stability & optimum jib shape profiles.
✓ Adjustable backstay gives the finer rig tune required without the need for running backstays.
✓ Fixed prodder on bow allows optimum use of Code type sails and asymmetrics, whilst still allowing use of symmetric sails if required.
✓ High volume interior maintains and improves the unbeatable Sun Fast 3200 layout with two large double cabins aft, sculptured navigation station, galley, additional berths in the saloon, sail stowage and heads forward.
