Description
The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42DS needs little introduction. Designed by long term Jeanneau collaborator Marc Lombard, the model offers exceptional comfort and performance in equal measures.
“Blue Mist” is configured in the preferred 2 cabin, 2 heads layout, with a vast owners cabin spanning the entire aft beam of the yacht. Both cabins have en-suite heads and showers, with complete privacy for owner and guests.
The specification has been carefully chosen to offer long term offshore comfort, and includes a water-maker, copper-coating, full upgraded sail set, windcharger and hydrovane self-steering to name but a few. Benefiting from a high level of maintenance and upgrades, we encourage all prospective buyers to fully understand the investment placed in the yacht.
Available for viewing by appointment in Gosport, Hampshire.

Owner’s Comments
-
“We have owned Blue Mist for 8 years – she is our first boat as owners but we have been on the water under sail or motor for many years. We bought her for adventures along the English and French sides of the Channel coastline but Covid changed our outlook and we decided to take a career break.
Leaving the UK in June 2021, our first long passage as a double handed team was across Biscay, then through Portugal, Madeira and on to Gran Canaria to meet the ARC 2021 fleet. Crossing the Atlantic in November 2021 in just under 21days. We spent 3 amazing years circumnavigating the Caribbean, visiting Islands through the Windwards, Leewards, ABCs, Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Since returning to the UK in June 2024, we have been cruising in the Solent and doing a mini refit.”
